I was born in Hackensack, NJ to my Irish Catholic mother from Jersey City, NJ and Jewish father from Queens, NY. Can we say “guilt”…. from both sides! My childhood was spent with my two brothers; Jeremy my twin and Jonathan my younger. We spent our summers on the Jersey Shore in Lavallette, NJ with our grandparents living the Jersey life!
I survived and graduated from Mount Olive High School in Flanders, NJ after being in the marching band, and on the swim and track teams. My weekends were spent driving my red Pontiac Firebird (my twin brother had the same exact car in white) fist pumping and cruising the strip malls.
I finished up my college education at Suffolk University in Boston, MA with my Bachelor or Arts degree in Communications & Advertising and spent the next years of my life working in marketing. I worked hard in my cubicle watching YouTube videos and writing my book, which would essentially change my life! Outside of work, I became an avid dancer, and added Irish Step and Swing to my repertoire of Dirty. I also became an ordained minister, well online at least, and was the Solemnizer for the marriage of two good friends in Provincetown, MA.
When I was finally “let go” from my job, I decided to pack up my life and follow my dreams of being a stand-up comedian and TV host and drove my talents across the country to the land of opportunity…. Los Angeles!
I now live in West Hollywood and enjoy performing my stand-up acts! I am also a huge animal lover and enjoy assisting at animal rescues and spending free time volunteering with the elderly (they always have the best stories). My parents have always been very supportive yet honest about everything in my life. My mother once asked me, "Couldn't you just do porn instead of stand up comedy?”. I replied, “Why would you ask me that?” She responded, “Well, there is a less chance of family seeing you then. AND you'll probably make more money."
Why Charity Work: Since I was a kid, my parents always had us volunteering in the community. Whether it was at the local rehabilitation hospital, animal rescues or just helping out the elderly neighbors with yard work.
My Personal Story: In 2008 my whole family's world stopped when my younger brother Jonathan was diagnosed with a brain tumor. My incredibly brave and strong brother had a 5.5-centimeter meningioma removed. He recovered like a champ and is going strong today! He is my hero! Since then, I have dedicated time to supporting and volunteering with the National Brain Tumor Society.
The Trevor Project is a national organization that provides 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. As a gay man myself, it is important to be able to help the youth with personal struggles. Especially when they have families that don’t tolerate or accept their children for who they are. And I find that unacceptable. Therefore, I help spread the message of The Trevor Project to help kids when they have nowhere else to turn.
